Entre la noche del viernes 29 y el sábado 30 de mayo podremos escuchar en Radio Clásica de Radio Nacional de España el programa Ars Sonora, dirigido por Miguel Álvarez Fernández, en el que colaboro con ocasión del monográfico dedicado al recientemente desaparecido Max Neuhaus.
Hemos preparado para este programa un recorrido por las diversas vertientes artísticas y musicales del artista de Texas, quien comenzó su carrera profesional como percusionista de reconocido prestigio. Tendremos la oportunidad de escuchar en Ars Sonora al Neuhaus intérprete de piezas de percusión de algunos de los grandes representantes de la Escuela de Nueva York (New York School) como John Cage o Morton Feldman. Asimismo haremos un recorrido por algunas de sus piezas radiofónicas más conocidas e incluso mostraremos su incursión en el netart. Todo ello para llegar hasta el Neuhaus “instalador”, la faceta más rica del artista que nos permitirá hablar y escuchar algunas de sus obras realizadas específicamente en las calles de Nueva York o Berna.
Con este programa de Ars Sonora, dedicado íntegramente a la figura de Max Neuhaus, queremos hacernos eco en España de su desaparición y resaltar de este modo la importancia que su obra supone para la creación contemporánea.
El programa de Ars Sonora se emitirá el sábado 30 de mayo entre las 00.00 y la 01.00 a.m. (la noche del viernes al sábado). Next Saturday May 30 in Ars Sonora at the Spanish National Radio, directed by Miguel Alvarez Fernandez and co-presented by myself, will be broadcasted a monographic program on the recently passed away Max Neuhaus.
We will show a panoramic view of the different artistic and musical aspects of this artist from Texas, who began his career as a percussionist of renown. We will listen in Ars Sonora percussion pieces from some of the major representatives of the New York School, such as, John Cage or Morton Feldman, performed in the 60s by Neuhaus. We will go through his radio pieces and even his foray into Net art. All this to catch up with Neuhaus ‘installer’ that we will explore through some of his sound installations in New York and Bern
With this program of Ars Sonora, devoted on Max Neuhaus, we want to echo in Spain his disappearance and highlight the importance that his work poses to contemporary creation.
